Cullen’s dynamic duo

In the village of Cullen, the Rural Social Scheme provides practical support to three local organisations – Cullen-Lattin Football Club, Cullen Graveyard Committee and Cullen Tidy Towns. RSS participants James and Ailbe carry out grass cutting, maintenance and general upkeep throughout the year. Their work spans a variety of community projects, from supporting local sporting facilities to helping maintain the village graveyard and tidy towns initiatives. The range of work undertaken highlights the important contribution RSS participants make to community organisations throughout south Tipperary.

“Having the support of James and Ailbe is a huge benefit to our community. We were delighted to hear that eligibility to join the RSS has been expanded, as schemes like this are increasingly important for rural communities.” – Gerard Riordan, Member of Football Club and Graveyard Committee
