Gortnahoe is a busy rural community with a strong tradition of local activity, fundraising and volunteer-led projects. Sharon Ryan was offered a Tús placement with the community group in February 2025 and has quickly become part of the team. Working both independently and alongside volunteers, Sharon supports a mix of seasonal tasks, administrative work and local projects. The variety of the role allows her to use her initiative and get involved in a wide range of activities. With new projects emerging throughout the year, no two weeks are quite the same.
