When Yuliya Kovalevska first engaged with SICAP, she was keen to build on her experience of creating custom cakes and working in the food sector. Working closely with the SICAP team, she explored self-employment options and completed a Self-Employment Options Programme to help shape her plans. SICAP staff provided ongoing guidance, supporting Yuliya to develop her business idea, prepare a business plan and progress towards self-employment by qualifying for the Back to Work Enterprise Allowance. Following her move to Killenaule and the securing of suitable premises, Greenwitch Cakery opened in April 2025 and has quickly become a popular addition to village life.
