Karris self-referred to the Tús Programme following the completion of a KITE course at Knockanrawley Resource Centre. Having already become involved in activities in the Organic Garden during the course, she was keen to continue that involvement through a Tús placement. Since then, Karris has taken part in a wide range of activities and projects, building on her interest in nature while developing new skills and experiences. Her creativity has been showcased through an exhibition of her insect photography, while other opportunities have included training in herbal medicine and involvement in community initiatives. Along the way, Karris has grown in confidence, formed new friendships and become an active and valued member of the garden community.
