Who We Are
South Tipperary Development CLG (STDC) is a Community Led Local Development Company. It is a not-for-profit registered charity overseen by a voluntary board of directors representing community, farming, business and state agency sectors.
South Tipperary Development CLG supports communities, individuals, families, and small businesses in South Tipperary (Clonmel borough district; Tipperary Cahir, Cashel Municipal District and the Carrick-on-Suir Municipal district), Economic Development, Social Inclusion and Environmental Sustainability are among the key areas of focus for South Tipperary Development.
By leveraging our resources and our expertise, we support the implementation of projects and initiatives that promote community well-being and resilience. Through our commitment to collaboration, STDC strengthens the capacity of local community and voluntary organisations empowering them to take charge of their own development. By Facilitating access to expertise, funding and other resources, STD nurtures a culture of self-reliance and collective action.
STDC has a proven capacity and record in delivering programmes on behalf of a wide range of funders including e.g. ; Department of Rural and Community Development; Department of Social Protection; HSE; Tusla; Healthy Ireland; Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth; and the Local Authority.
