This exciting community-based arts project was spearheaded by Tipperary Town Revitalisation CLG (TTR) and funded under LEADER. Five unique street murals under the themes of Youth, Biodiversity, Heritage and Culture were designed and installed by world-renowned national and international artists across the town. The process of creating these stunning works of art included extensive community engagement from local community and voluntary groups, young people, schools, tidy towns groups and residents’ associations. Creative workshops and community events gave the community a true sense of ownership of the project. The impact of these Murals in prominent locations is really striking and they are some of the most shared and promoted images from the town. STDC has worked closely with TTR and secured LEADER funding for a number of heritage, landscape design and planning projects in Tipperary town.
