Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre providing services for those most in need
Total LEADER Funding: €59,810.97
The Circle of Friends Cancer Support Centre Ltd is a community-based voluntary group, who have developed a state of the art, purpose-built Cancer Support Centre in Tipperary Town with a catchment area of over 60,000 people. The new Centre was officially opened in June 2019 and aspires to meet the varied needs of those who have been touched by cancer but who also suffer from social exclusion, isolation, and stress.
The LEADER Programme provided funding for the first storey multi-purpose room and sensory garden at the Centre. This space allows for groups such as “knit and natter”, mindfulness and mediation, Pilates, Photography and Art to meet up and offers a holistic and natural safe space. It provides support for those in need during challenging times.
