Social Enterprise (SICAP)

Services Description

 

The Social Inclusion and Community Activation Programme (SICAP) is co-funded by the Irish Government, through the Department of Rural and Community Development, and the European Union, through the European Social Fund Plus

Social Enterprise (SICAP) aims to:

  • Support expansion and sustainability by way of guidance and information on a range of external funding streams.
  • Provide opportunity to avail of SICAP funding for Social Enterprises for those who are micro-enterprises (ie 10 staff or less).
  • Operational support and development to include training and capacity building which may be linked to governance requirements.
  • Support SE’s to create additional employment or volunteering options targeted at SICAP target groups.
  • Promote a strong SE landscape in South Tipperary by supporting local, regional and national networking events and shared learning opportunities.

 

Who is this Service for?

  1. Social enterprises who work to support disadvantaged groups or address wider societal issues, such as food poverty or environmental matters.
  2. They have 10 staff or less.
  3. They operate in South Tipperary.
